Hidden Treasures in STL
Diebergs launched rewards too (probably year 2022?) I don’t shop there too often though.
Schnucks rewards (Oct-14-2018)
Schnucks started a reward program, about 2% cashback. The only thing needed is to install it’s mobile app from the app stores. One can put in phone number or scan the bar code before paying at the Point of Sale. (iOS app; android app).
This is a much improved app from its earlier days. Interestingly, yours truly also joined them back in 2014. The new app was done by World Wide Technology (both companies are HQ’ed at Maryland Heights, not too far from each other at West Port). A little functioning app in my opinion.

St. Louis Stocks
(Update 05-02-2010) I found a complete list at stlrcga.org.
By that I meant the public companies that headquartered in St. Louis metropilitan area, or have significant presence in St. Louis area. I was surprised that I could not find anything like that on the web (I used Google). Anyway here are in the initial list I have:
Amdocs (DOX): the telecom software and service company, has dual HQ in St. Louis and Israel.
Ameren UE (AEE): utility company
Arch Coal (ACI): one of top 3 coal producers in the US; HQ at Creve Coeur, MO. Steve Leer interview here.
Arch Daniel Midland (NYSE: ADM)
AT&T (T): many of my Chinese friends worked for T in downtown St. Louis
Boeing (BA): one of the two airplane maker
Brown Shoes (BWS): shoe company famous for its naturlizer brand.
Bunge Limited (NYSE: BG)
Emerson(EMR): very respected company, I regard it as mini-GE
Energizer (ENR) Holdings: a holding company for Energizer battaries and Schick shavers. Consider it as a small rival of P&G, which has Gillete and Durcell. A spin off from Ralston-Purina. Purina was acquired by Neste (cafe) in 2002.
Express Script (ESRX), it’s next to my work place, how could I miss this baby past a few years?
Insituform (INSU): provides cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) products for pipeline rehab, including storm sewer, sanitary, and drinking water pressure pipe systems.
MEMS (WFR): yet another semi-conductor got new life from solar
Monsanto (MON): it’s right across the street from my condo, and the stock is on fire recently.
Panera Bread (PNRA): how can forget this guy? I spent lots of time there 🙂
Patriot Coal: the spinoff from Peabody Energy
Peabody Energy: the coal giant, under attack from Obama admin now 🙂
Ralcorp (RAH): boring store-brand food for grocery stores. I learned this business from my friend works for Sara Lee.
Sigma-Aldrich (SIAL): the chemical company services academic and research.
Among them I like MON for the near term. The following is a quote from Yahoo Finance.
